ABUJA, Nigeria – We are pleased to announce the completion of the third NOI-GALLUP Poll in Nigeria. The poll was conducted as part of Gallup’s World Poll in 140 countries.

According to Dr. Bob Tortora, Chief Methodologist of the Gallup Organization, this year’s poll maintained Gallup’s emphasis on understanding socioeconomic and welfare outcomes of ordinary citizens in various countries. Particularly, in Africa – there was an important focus on understanding how people felt about their economy, their local governments as well as their livelihoods.

The CEO of NOI Polls, Mr. Ndubisi Anyanwu, noted that in addition to the core set of questions examined by Gallup worldwide, the Nigerian poll addressed a number of important questions which were relevant for our country. These questions included the practice of corporate social responsibility in Nigeria, perceptions on obesity, the importance of NAFDAC certification numbers, and the rise of fast food chains in the country, to mention a few.

Highlights of the results of the Poll are expected to be made available to the general public in the last quarter of 2008.
